Athens Cow Parade 2006

The outdoor exhibition that first appeared in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1998, and has since taken place in more than 30 cities across five continents and raised more than 10 million euros for charity, hit the Greek capital!

The event kickes off early May 2006 while the brightly-coloured bovines are to be present in the city's main squares, metro stations and airport until August 28. So get ready Ladies and Gentlemen! It's time for art to go "mooο" in Athens, too!

70 bovine designs were transformed into works of art by both unknown and well-established local artists and are now on display in Syntagma Square, Kolonaki Square, Klafthmonos Square, Kotzia Square, Vas. Sophias Ave, Old Parliament Square, Varvakeios pedestrian walkway, Mitropoleos Square, Ermou pedestrian walkway, Koumoundourou Square, Agios Konstantinos Square, Karaiskaki Square, Kaningos Square, Omonia Square, Korai pedestrian walkway, Voukourestiou pedestrian walkway, Panepistimiou St, Eleftherias Park, City of Athens Cultural Centre, Agia Sophia Children's Hospital, Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital, National Library, Technopolis, Athens International Airport and at a number of Attiko Metro stations.
